I had the honour of speaking at the BC College of Equine Therapy’s graduation dinner and award’s night on Saturday, May 25th (www.equinetherapy.ca). 23 graduates completed a two year study in supporting the health and well-being of animals, specifically horses. The longer I practice equine-assisted learning, the greater urgency I feel about the need for us humans to acknowledge the protective and emotionally supportive role animals play in our lives. I am so very happy that Dave Collins and his team (Dawn, Cara and Craig) at the college have educated yet another class of graduates who are now active in the world as advocates, and health practitioners for animals. The horses are grateful.
